How to Get Natural Glowing Skin

Not everyone is born with perfect skin, but it is possible to get healthy skin by developing a good skincare routine. Many people have asked me what are my secrets to achieving youthful-looking skin so I’ve decided to share my tips with you. I have a regimen that is constantly progressing as I learn more about my skin and new products. Taking care of your body from the inside is just as important as the outside and will help you maintain a healthy glow.

Keep It Clean

This is the golden rule that is often overlooked. I cannot start my day or go to sleep without washing my face. Make sure to always remove your makeup before going to bed to let your skin breath. Leave cleansing wipes by your bed for those longs nights where you don’t have the energy to properly clean your face. Washing your face removes the impurities to give your skin a fresh look.

Pay Attention to Your Diet

Personally, I do not follow a strict diet but I do choose healthier alternatives to the meals that I eat. In addition to eating fruits and vegetables, I’ve cut down on my junk food intake and try avoiding processed foods which significantly improves the appearance of my skin. Try eating foods with antioxidants to boost your immune system and reduce signs of aging.

Get Beauty Sleep

My body can naturally function without sleep which does more harm than good because it contributes to my lack of sleep. I have gotten better with my sleeping habits and get about seven hours of sleep most nights. On nights where I don’t get my beauty rest, I notice that my under eyes start to get dark and face breaking out. My suggestion is to get at least 7 to 9 hours of sleep everyday for your mental health and physical appearance.

Hydrate Yourself

I carry a water bottle around with me everywhere I go to help increase my daily intake. On days when I forget to drink water, my skin and lips get extremely dry which is why it is necessary to drink lots of water daily.

Get Protection

Because I have dry skin, it is crucial that I use moisturizer every day. I use a daytime moisturizer that includes SPF 30. Make sure that there is SPF on at least one product you put on your face every morning. Small amounts of sun exposure are beneficial but too much can permanently damage your skin.

Find the Right Products

Everyone has a different skin type so it is crucial that you learn what works best for you. It took me several years to learn how to work with my skin. Throughout those years, I did my research and took recommendations from people that were knowledgeable on the topic. There is a huge selection of products out there that you can try until you find the right ones to include in your daily skincare routine. Developing healthy habits will significantly improve your skin complexion.

Great tips! And so true! I struggle with hydrating enough and getting enough sleep but they’re so important.

    Hi Thivy,

Thank you for posting this! 🙂 I struggle with getting enough sleep also. Great products! 🙂 I have dry skin, too. I am so glad that you mention Lacome product that has SPF in the morning, because this is a health issue, too. I am very interested in the Origins Eye Doctor. (I will look up the ingredients because I have so many allergies.) I like to use cruelty free products when possible.
Thank you for your fabulous video!:)
    Best,
    Christina

Good tips. It’s obvious they’re working on you! 🙂
I get so lazy about a self-care routine.
