Travel Carry-On Essentials For Your Flight

Carry-On Essentials For Your Next Flight

Traveling anytime soon? Here’s a guide on how to pack the perfect carry-on bag for your next flight!

Packing all the right things will make your travel experience easier in so many ways. I consider myself an expert traveler after many flights around the world, so I hope you find this guide helpful. My key to figuring out what to bring on my flight is to not over pack. All the unnecessary items can be stored into your checked baggage, so you will not have to worry about them until later. Choose things that will make your trip as comfortable as possible. Don’t forget to check the list of restricted items for the airline you are flying. I like to put my things in a backpack for my carry-on so I can be hands-free walking through the airport, but I know a lot of girls that like to carry a fashionable tote bag. The choice is ultimately up to you!

Here’s a list of the things I usually pack with me in my carry-on bag that you can use to get ideas for your next adventure. Safe travels everyone!

  • Driver’s License (Domestic Flights)
  • Passport (International Travels)
  • Agenda – I can’t live without it, I plan out my life inside my calendar.
  • Wallet – Make sure to call your credit card companies to inform them of your travels.
  • Business Cards – You never know who you could meet!

  • Laptop
  • Laptop Charger
  • Smart Phone (Galaxy S7)
  • Headphones – I like packing small Apple headphones so they don’t take up so much space.
  • Portable Phone Charger
  • Book
  • Notebook – I use the time on my flight to write down my creative ideas.
  • Pen
  • Camera

  • Anti-bacterial Wet Wipes
  • Pads
  • Hair Ties
  • Bobby Pins
  • Chapstick
  • Tissues
  • Face Mask – To keep the moisture in my face.
  • Under-Eye Patches
  • Travel Size Perfume
  • Compact Mirror

  • Neck Pillow
  • Sweater – To keep warm during the cold flights.

  • Chips – My favorite snack!
  • Mints

* I don’t bring a drink because it’s a hassle carrying through security checkpoint and drinks are usually provided on the airplane.

For the long flights, I would carry an extra tote bag to store more items.

  • An extra pair of comfortable clothes
  • Underwear
  • Bra
  • Socks
  • Electric Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Face Cleansing Wipes

I love to bring fruit bars as snack (so yummy and healthy as well) 😉

Btw. it’s really cool how you linked the products in the picture.

    Much love, Ilka. x

Love! All of these things are things I pack as well! – Business cards might be one of the most important, I have given out business cards in the most unexpected places! lol

Totally agree with the anti bacterial wet wipes! People always look at me crazy when I get on the plane but I wipe down the entire area because I know how dirty it gets haha

    • Reply ThivyMichelle March 25, 2017 at 1:08 am

It makes me cringe thinking about how dirty it is!

Great suggestions. I am the worst at remembering things so every time I travel I think passport, phone, wallet. If I have those things I am good to go. Also it is easy to check multiple times as I am movIng through the airport, taxis, I check, check, check!

    • Reply ThivyMichelle March 25, 2017 at 1:09 am

Thank you 🙂 Same here, that’s why I made a list!

Great list! I do like to pack a travel sized all purpose moisturizer with me, as planes are so drying! My cuticles split after 3-4 days in the air.

    • Reply ThivyMichelle March 25, 2017 at 1:11 am

Thank you and the plane does tend to dry out my skin too!

  • Reply Chasa Fulkerson March 25, 2017 at 2:43 am

I can agree with this whole entire list! I love having lists too. I feel like I will forget something if I don’t. #gltLOVE

Great list! The air on planes is so dry – it’s so important to bring something that will help moisturize your face. I also always pack an extra set of clothes in my carry-on nowadays…I’ve experienced lost luggage/delayed luggage too many times.

    • Reply ThivyMichelle April 11, 2017 at 6:37 pm

Thank you Ania! True that, an extra pair of clothes is so necessary nowadays 🙂
